In 1960, St. John Of God began fund raising for children & adults living with intellectual disabilities & mental health challenges.
Help reaches African Nations (Malawi, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Ghana, & Kenya) with Mental Health Services, Primary Health Care Outreach Clinics, Skill-based Training for people recuperating from mental illness & other disabilities, Education for children with special needs, & Employment Training.
Our African Missions in Malawi, Kenya, Cameroon and Togo are desperately in need of financial support. We prefer not to simply ask for money. We are presenting a value proposition. Our new raffle offers a chance to win an exquisite painting. We appreciate the chance of a prize is secondary to your genuine interest of support. It is our way of saying “Thank-you”.
Cause # 1 Malawi – Providing access for mental health medications to some of the most vulnerable people. Ticket sales will fund medicines for several patients annually.
Cause # 2 Malawi – Help empower Malawi’s youth with life-changing, highly-employable vocational training.
Cause # 3 Kenya – Establishing sustainable Goat farming, providing poor families with nutrition and revenue generation from the sale of surplus milk.
Cause # 4 Kenya – Sustainable community backyard gardens providing regular food security assistance for vulnerable single mothers.
Cause # 5 Togo – Funding for the neonatal unit and staff, benefitting at-risk infants, and meets important United Nations goals.
Cause # 6 Cameroon – Install 36 solar panels at Boko Health Clinic, directly benefitting more than 9,000 patients, 38 staff and 45,000 family members.
