Who manages the raffle?
The saint john of god foundation limited (SJOGF) is a company registered in Ireland under company no: 18005 and is also registered charity under charity no: chy18280 with registered office and trading address is flavin house, stillorgan co. Dublin that has been granted a lottery licence no. 66.4 under gaming and lotteries act 1956, section 28 by Dublin metropolitan district court which allows the distribution of funds collected from the sale of raffle tickets.
What are my chances of winning a prize?
Chances of winning are dependent on the number of raffle tickets sold and number of prizes to be awarded. For example, if the raffle has 1 prize and 100 tickets were sold then chance of winning is 1 in 100. If the raffle has 2 prizes and 100 tickets were sold then chance of winning one of the two prizes is 1 in 50.
Are the prizes donated?
Most prizes are purchased by the foundation, but some are donated by corporations or individuals who support the work done by SJOGF.
When are the draws made?
Draw is done within 2 business days of the raffle closing and winner or winners are informed by email soon after. Please note: At sole discretion of SJOGF, a winner maybe required to answer a skill-testing question before being declared the actual winner.
How are the draws made?
A random number generator (rng) is used to conduct the draw from all the tickets sold for a raffle.
How are winners notified?
All winners will be notified by e-mail, provided by the customer at the time of purchase. The email will also include the procedure for claiming the prize. At the sole discretion of SJOGF, a winner maybe required to answer a skill-testing question before being declared the actual winner.

How will proceeds from each raffle be used?
Each raffle is setup to benefit a specific and urgent cause. The information about the cause is provided with each raffle. SJOGF has committed to give a portion of the purchase price from sale of each raffle ticket to the cause associated with the raffle.
What is an online raffle (also known as i-raffle)?
A raffle is a means of raising funds by selling numbered tickets, one or some of which are subsequently drawn at random. The holder or holders of such tickets (after being declared the “actual” winner” win(s) a prize. Online raffles use software to process all elements of the raffle – including ticket issue and the draw. At the sole discretion of SJOGF, a winner maybe required to answer a skill-testing question before being declared the “actual” winner.
Are raffles legal?
Every country has its own rules governing raffles. An organization needs a raffle license from a competent authority in the country where the organization is based, in order to run an online raffle. Sjogf has been granted a lottery licence no. 66.4 under gaming and lotteries act 1956, section 28 by Dublin metropolitan district court to run raffles.
How do participants receive their ticket numbers?
Depending on the payment used the system will automatically send an email confirming the order which would also include the Raffle numbers, or the player will get one email confirming the order and a second email, within 2 business days, which will show the raffle ticket numbers associate with the order.
How are online raffle winners notified?
Once the online raffle is drawn the winner will be notified via email. The message will the winning ticket number and the procedure to select and claim the prize. At the sole discretion of SJOGF, a winner maybe required to answer a skill-testing question before being declared the “actual” winner.
Are online raffle tickets tax deductible?
No, raffle ticket purchases are not tax-deductible, only charitable donations are.
Does the purchaser receive a receipt or invoice?
Yes, once payment is made for their raffle ticket the purchaser will be emailed information a receipt confirming their order.
Do participants have to register to purchase tickets?
To purchase tickets the participant must register and provide their email.
