Overview
Saint John of God Foundation (SJOGF) is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us by visitors to SJOGF.ORG and our players. We protect your personal information in accordance with anti-spam legislation and other applicable laws.
Anti-spam legislation and applicable laws govern how SJOGF can collect, use, disclose and retain your personal information when it is in the custody or under the control of SJOGF .
This policy governs the collection, use, disclosure and retention of personal information in relation to the conduct, management and operation of SJOGF.ORG.
SJOGF maintains or causes to be maintained this personal information in accordance with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission regulations, the laws under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2001, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Legislation
All personal data we gather will be “processed” in accordance with all applicable data protection laws and principles, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2018 and the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003.
Online Gaming Privacy
Log Files
As is the case with the operation of most websites, SJOGF will, through SJOGF.ORG, gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser technical specifications, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
SJOGF uses this information to administer SJOGF.ORG, identify individual users, analyze trends, track movement patterns around the site and gather demographic information about our user base.
We associate an IP address with every transaction on SJOGF.ORG for troubleshooting, dispute resolution purposes, and to comply with our legal and regulatory requirements. IP addresses are also used to verify that players are logging in to their player account from approved geographic locations to comply with our legal and regulatory requirements.
Cookies
SJOGF engages a third-party service that uses tracking technologies (e.g., cookies and web beacons) to track non-personal information about visitors to SJOGF.ORG in order to better understand usage and volume statistics and improve SJOGF.ORG.
SJOGF.ORG uses cookies to understand the usage of the website by visitors, prospective players, and players and to improve the user experience. Cookies are not mandatory for the use of SJOGF.ORG and may be disabled by users of the website however doing may limit the user’s access to certain areas or features of the website. Social Media Features
SJOGF.ORG includes social media features that may collect your IP address, information about the page or pages you are visiting on SJOGF.ORG, and set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features are hosted by third parties, and your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy and other terms of use of the companies that provide them, not by SJOGF .
Players may have the option of making public postings on or through SJOGF.ORG including to third party social media sites. SJOGF is not liable, and does not assume responsibility, for the disclosure or accuracy of personal information resulting from players’ social media postings.
i-raffle and your Personal Information
Personal information means information about an identifiable individual. This includes, for example, an individual’s name, home address, phone number, personal email address, gender, date of birth, and information relating to an individual’s employment or financial transactions (e.g., credit card information). If you are a player on SJOGF.ORG, personal information also includes your SJOGF.ORG player account number, player history, and transactions identifiable as being undertaken by you through SJOGF.ORG.
We use PayPal for payments and other services. If you wish to use one of these services and pay on our website, PayPal may collect the personal data you provide, such as payment and other identifying information. PayPal uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us and others, including for fraud detection, harm and loss prevention, authentication, analytics related to the performance of its services, and to comply with applicable legal requirements. - Accountability
SJOGF is responsible for all personal information in our custody and control and for personal information that we share with third parties who operate or provide services on our behalf (e.g. information technology providers).
SJOGF employees are required to undertake privacy training and sign a Code of Conduct to help ensure they protect the personal information of users of SJOGF.ORG in compliance with this Privacy Policy. Our agreements with third-party service providers also include provisions that require them to protect the personal information of SJOGF.ORG users.
Users can contact Player Support if they have questions, comments, or complaints relating to the use and protection of their personal information or other privacy-related matters concerning SJOGF.ORG. Please refer to Section 11 for further details on how to contact Player Support.
- Identifying Purposes
We inform SJOGF.ORG users, before or at the time of collecting personal information, of the purposes for which we are collecting that information. We make this information available through various mechanisms including, for example, this Privacy Policy, the Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions for SJOGF.ORG, and the website itself.
We do not collect, use or disclose personal information for any purpose not previously identified without explaining the new purpose and obtaining consent, unless otherwise permitted by law.
Personal information is collected by SJOGF to be used or disclosed for the following purposes:
- To verify that you are permitted to access and/or use SJOGF.ORG and the services that are made available through SJOGF.ORG including the verification of your registration details with trusted third-party service providers and financial institutions;
- To provide you with access to and/or use of the Sites and Services, and to verify your entitlement to any prize or giveaway and any other benefits associated with the Sites and Services;
- To investigate the potential unauthorized use of your username or password (for registered players only);
- To permit SJOGF and its third-party service providers to provide you with technical and player support, and to offer you the use of chat and other communications features of the Sites and Services;
- To assist SJOGF and its third-party service providers with managing and responding to player communications and addressing other issues affecting our players;
- To enforce the Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions for SJOGF.ORG.
- To administer marketing campaigns that you have agreed to receive and facilitate commercial email communications;
- To provide a better entertainment experience for SJOGF.ORG users;
- To improve products and services, help SJOGF better understand its customers’ needs, bring other products and services to customers’ attention, and for SJOGF ‘s business development purposes;
- To conduct research, including the collection, and analysis of gaming statistics;
- To carry out surveys and contests in which customers/players have agreed to participate;
- To administer responsible gambling programs such as the SJOGF.ORG self-exclusion and other responsible gambling tools (including limit setting, enforced time outs, personal risk assessment, and player data analytics);
- To provide players with personalized marketing and responsible gambling feedback based on their playing patterns and behaviors;
- To expedite signup for any other services or offers provided by SJOGF and/or its third-party service providers who act on SJOGF ’s behalf;
- To post winner stories on SJOGF.ORG and SJOGF ’s other website(s) that may contain personal information, such as a player’s screen-name (nickname) and city of residence. Player consent is governed by the Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions for Use for SJOGF.ORG. Consent is acknowledged and agreed to by an individual when they register for an online gaming account prior to play.
- To comply with SJOGF ’s legal and regulatory requirements; and
- To facilitate the funding of a player account that is maintained through SJOGF.ORG (registered players only) and the withdrawal of funds from a player account.
SJOGF may disclose personal information to SJOGF ’s third-party service providers for one or more of the above stated purposes as deemed necessary by SJOGF . SJOGF may also disclose personal information to approved third-parties for the following purposes:
- To verify credit card chargebacks or investigate other disputes related to the funding of or funds within your SJOGF.ORG player account with your payment processing provider, financial institution, or credit card provider;
- To verify with your banking institution your entitlement to any prize or giveaway and any other benefits associated with the use of SJOGF.ORG and its services; and
- To enable research organizations (with your express consent only) to contact you directly to request your participation in a research study.
SJOGF may also disclose your personal information as required or permitted by law or as we may otherwise advise you from time to time, including pursuant to the Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions for SJOGF.ORG.
- Limiting Collection of Personal Information
SJOGF only collects personal information that we believe is needed for the purpose of providing SJOGF.ORG services to prospective players and our players. We limit the collection of financial information to only the information deemed necessary to process financial transactions and payments relating to the services (taking into account our desire to prevent fraudulent, unauthorized or ineligible financial transactions), and investigate financial transactions as permitted by law or as set out in the Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions for SJOGF.ORG (e.g., fraud, credit card chargebacks).
We normally collect your personal information directly from you however we may collect your information from other persons with your consent or as permitted by law as it relates to your access or use of SJOGF.ORG.
- Consent
SJOGF asks for consent to collect, use or disclose your personal information, except in specific circumstances where collection, use, or disclosure without consent is permitted or required by law. By registering for a player account or by using SJOGF.ORG and its services, you are consenting to the terms of this Privacy Policy. We may assume your consent in cases where you volunteer information for an obvious purpose including, for example, when you voluntarily share your personal information on forms (e.g., name, email address, phone number, home address) to participate in a survey or contest, or to receive promotional materials.
We ask for your express consent for the purposes stated above and for other purposes which you expressly consent to from time to time. SJOGF may not be able to provide certain services to you if your consent is not provided for the collection, use, or disclosure of certain personal information (for example, the registration of a player account with SJOGF.ORG). We will inform you about this at the time of collection and it is inlcuded in the Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions for SJOGF.ORG.
You can withdraw your consent for SJOGF using or disclosing your personal information, at any time, if you no longer want to receive:

- Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention
SJOGF uses and discloses personal information only for the purpose for which the information was collected, except as permitted or otherwise required by law.
SJOGF will seek your consent if we wish to use or disclose your personal information for any purpose not previously consented by you. We may not seek consent if the law allows this.
SJOGF retains (and/or requires its third-party service provider[s] to retain) your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected and to fulfill SJOGF ‘s legal requirements. SJOGF maintains or causes to be maintained this personal information in accordance with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission regulations, the laws under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2001, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); and once the personal information reaches its retention period, it is securely destroyed.
- Agents/Service Providers
SJOGF uses third-party service providers, such as identity verification services, email service providers and companies that process online payments in the provision of SJOGF.ORG services.
We will share your personal information (e.g., name, home address, phone number, email address, and financial information) as necessary with such third-party service providers so that they may provide services on our behalf.
Certain third-party service providers will store personal information (such as credit card and bank account) on servers that are located outside of the Alderney, Channel Islands, with regards to your use of your SJOGF.ORG player account.
SJOGF.ORG may use third-party service providers to deliver marketing materials to players and potential players using the Internet. The service providers may use their own information and intellectual property to determine to whom they will deliver the marketing materials. SJOGF does not disclose any personal information to this type of service provider.
- Accuracy
We use reasonable efforts to ensure that a player’s personal information maintained on SJOGF.ORG is accurate and complete. We rely on users of SJOGF.ORG to notify us if there is a change to their personal information that may affect their relationship with SJOGF . If you are aware of an error in your personal information, we request that you correct it by accessing the My Account > General Information section of SJOGF.ORG. If you are unable to correct the information directly, please contact Player Support (see Section 11 for contact details) and SJOGF will correct it on request wherever possible. There are some aspects of your relationship with SJOGF.ORG that require you to ensure that the personal information you provided to SJOGF through SJOGF.ORG is kept up-to-date. These matters are addressed in the Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions for SJOGF.ORG.
- Safeguarding Personal Information
SJOGF uses reasonable efforts to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure or modification of personal information, as well as any unauthorized access to personal information.
SJOGF ‘s efforts to protect personal information in its custody or control through SJOGF.ORG include, for example:
- Administrative Safeguards: In addition to this Privacy Policy, SJOGF employs administrative safeguards, such as the confidentiality agreements, and contracts that help ensure that SJOGF employees, third-party contractors and service providers access, use or disclose personal information for authorized purposes only.
- Technical Safeguards: We employ technical safeguards, such as passwords, audit logging, encryption, and role-based access controls for information systems from which personal information may be accessed for SJOGF.ORG purposes.
- Physical Safeguards: We employ physical safeguards to protect personal information by locking filing cabinets, restricting physical access to offices and data centres, and securely disposing of paper and electronic records that are no longer needed.
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100 per cent secure, therefore, SJOGF cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information in connection with your access or use of SJOGF.ORG.

We make specific information about our policies and practices that relate to the management of personal information available to users of SJOGF.ORG. This information is available in this SJOGF.ORG Privacy Policy, the Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions for SJOGF.ORG and through Player Support (see Section 11 for contact details below).

SJOGF.ORG provides players with convenient access to most of their personal information collected by SJOGF.ORG through the player account page, including:
- Transaction information;
- Purchase transaction history.

If any changes are made to SJOGF ’s privacy policy they will be posted to the on-line version of this privacy policy and highlighted on the home page of SJOGF.ORG so that players are informed. SJOGF reserves the right to modify its privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Your continued use of any of the Sites and Services will signify your acceptance of the changes to our privacy policy.
